Who Should Apply? The Key Requirements

This is a specialized role requiring a specific set of skills and qualifications. The ideal candidate will possess:

  • A valid and appropriate Trade Test Certificate.
  • A minimum of 5 years of post-qualification experience as an Artisan.
  • A valid driver’s license.
  • Specialized Skills: Welding or Civil-related trades are essential.
  • The physical ability to work underwater at depths of approximately 39 meters.
  • At least 3 years of experience in a supervisory capacity.
  • Experience in the marine or diving environment is a significant advantage.
  • Strong project management, communication (verbal and written English), and problem-solving skills.
  • Ability to interpret technical drawings, operate machinery, and adhere to strict safety protocols.

Your Key Responsibilities

As the successful candidate, your duties will be critical to maintaining the Navy’s operational readiness:

  • Repairing, maintaining, and upgrading harbor facilities, often in an underwater capacity.
  • Managing the workload, staff, and procurement of equipment/materials for the Marine/Diving Workshops.
  • Supervising, training, and assessing subordinate staff.
  • Administering and compiling necessary documentation for projects and reports.
