Two Streams Available
The learnership is offered at two different levels to cater to various educational backgrounds:
1. 18.1 Learner Miner
- Education: NQF Level 2 Elementary Certificate (Grade 10 or equivalent).
- Experience: A minimum of 24 months of experience in a production environment is required.
2. 18.2 Learner Miner
- Education: NQF Level 4 (National Senior Certificate / Grade 12 or equivalent).
- Experience: Relevant experience in a similar environment will be advantageous.
Key Requirements & Attributes
To be considered for this learnership, candidates must also possess the following:
- Be medically fit to work in the specific business area.
- Have a clear security screening record.
- A valid driver’s license is advantageous (if applicable).
Your Key Responsibilities
As a learner miner, you will be expected to:
- Understand and work towards achieving all programme objectives.
- Successfully complete all modules of the development programme within the specified timeframe.
- Adhere strictly to all company policies, procedures, and most importantly, safety standards.
- Attend Safety, Health, and Environment (SHE) meetings and always wear the prescribed safety equipment.
- Participate in risk assessments and proactively identify hazardous situations.
- Compile and present progress reports to relevant stakeholders.
