Requirements: What You Need to Apply
To be considered for this role, you must meet the following criteria:
- Matriculation / Grade 12 / Senior Certificate (NQF Level 4).
- A Grade C Security Certificate, registered with PSIRA (Private Security Industry Regulatory Authority).
- No experience is required.
Required Knowledge & Skills:
- Knowledge of: Batho Pele Principles, Departmental Policies and Procedures, Access to Public Premises and Vehicles Act, Evacuation Procedures, Promotion of Access to Information Act, and the OHS Act.
- Skills: Strong verbal and written communication, interpersonal relations, problem-solving, conflict management, and computer literacy.
Key Duties & Responsibilities
As a Security Officer, your role will be vital to the safety and security of the Head Office. Your duties will include:
- Monitoring all activities at the access control point.
- Operating the control room to detect any unlawful movement in and around the building.
- Rendering professional frontline services to internal and external clients.
- Conducting patrols within the building to ensure all safety measures are upheld.
- Controlling all deliveries at Laboria House.
