About the Opportunity
This YES Learner position is designed for unemployed youth who meet the criteria. As a Distribution Controller, you will be at the heart of SBV’s secure cash logistics operations. You will play a critical role in monitoring the loading, transportation, and off-loading of sachet coins, ensuring everything is handled with precision and security.
Key Responsibilities
In this hands-on role, you will be trained to:
- Collect and verify all necessary documentation before a run.
- Monitor the loading and off-loading of specie vehicles, ensuring strict adherence to dual-control security procedures (SOPs).
- Verify the integrity and sealing of cash bags.
- Transport specie securely within bank branches using a trolley.
- Accurately perform transactions as per the run schedule and obtain authorisation for any changes.
- Assist the Treasury Custodian with receiving and paying out cash and notes.
- Operate sachet machines by feeding them with coins and weighing the bags.
- Support the department in maintaining ISO 9001:2015 Quality Management Standards.
Who Should Apply?
Requirements:
- A Grade 12 / Matric certificate.
- Must have a clean criminal record.
- Must be currently unemployed.
- You must NOT have participated in the YES Programme before.
- You cannot be currently registered on any other unemployed learnership.
