Rand Water is offering an 18-month learnership programme to develop ten unemployed individuals into skilled Procurement Officers. Based at the Rietvlei site in Glenvista, Gauteng, the programme combines theoretical learning with practical workplace experience in procurement and supply chain management. Five of the positions are specifically reserved for qualified People with Disabilities. Applicants must be South African citizens aged 18-35, unemployed, not enrolled in any other studies, and hold a Matric certificate with Mathematics Literacy and English at Level 4. Applications require a certified ID, Matric certificate, proof of residence, a SAQA verification report, a CV, and (if applicable) proof of disability. Minimum Requirements
Applicants must:
- Be unemployed and not currently enrolled in any learnership or academic programme.
- Not hold any post-matric qualification.
- Hold a Grade 12 (Matric) with Mathematics Literacy and English at Level 4 or higher.
- Submit a SAQA/NLRD verification report (download from SAQA website).
- Be a South African citizen with a valid SA ID.
- Be between 18 and 35 years old.
- For People with Disabilities:
- Must submit proof of disability (Doctor’s Certificate or ITRDD13).
- Deaf or hard-of-hearing candidates should arrange their own interpreter.

Duties & Learnership Responsibilities
As a Procurement Officer Learner, you will:
- Assist in the implementation of operational procurement schedules.
- Help manage supply contracts and relationships.
- Monitor procurement performance and compliance.
- Attend and participate in classroom learning.
- Complete assignments, logbooks, and assessments.
