Salary: R1,059,105 per annum (all-inclusive package)

About the Role
This senior position is responsible for the overall management and strategic direction of the Lephalale Labour Centre. You will be tasked with ensuring the centre fulfils its mandate to serve the public effectively, managing all its resources, and representing the Department in important stakeholder forums.
Minimum Requirements
To be considered for this role, you must meet the following criteria:
- Qualifications: A three-year National Diploma (NQF 6) or an undergraduate Bachelor Degree (NQF 7) in one of the following fields:
- Financial Management / Accounting
- Human Resource Management / Labour Relations
- Social Sciences / Public Administration
- Management / Business Administration / Operations Management
- Project Management / Engineering Sciences
- Or a three-year legal qualification.
- Experience: Five years of relevant experience, with at least two years at an Assistant Director level. You must also have three years of functional experience in a labour market operations or service delivery environment.
- Driver’s Licence: A valid driver’s licence is essential.
Required Knowledge and Skills
The ideal candidate will possess:
- Knowledge: Public Financial Management Act (PFMA), Departmental Policies and Procedures, Public Service Regulations, Batho Pele Principles, and Service Delivery Improvement Plans.
- Skills: Strong management, computer literacy, presentation, and communication (verbal and written) skills. Additionally, you must demonstrate excellent interpersonal, conflict management, leadership, project management, diversity management, change management, and monitoring & evaluation abilities.
Key Responsibilities
- Manage and achieve the service delivery objectives as per the Department’s mandate.
- Represent the Department in key stakeholder forums, including interdepartmental government structures and municipalities as part of the District Development Model (DDM).
- Implement and manage the service delivery improvement plan for the centre.
- Manage all human, financial, and physical resources of the Lephalale Labour Centre efficiently.
