Key Requirements
To be considered for this role, you must meet the following criteria:
- A National Diploma in Engineering or a relevant qualification.
- A minimum of 3 years of post-qualification technical experience.
- Current compulsory registration with ECSA as a Professional Engineering Technician.
- A valid driver’s license.
Essential Skills and Knowledge:
- Knowledge of maintenance planning, Integrated Logistic Support (ILS) Systems, and Engineering/Support Baselines.
- Proficiency in the MS Office suite and computer-aided engineering applications.
- Ability to compile and present technical reports in English.
- Strong interpersonal, leadership, decision-making, and planning skills.
- Ability to work under pressure and meet strict deadlines.
- Experience in a design environment or logistic support field is highly advantageous.
Key Responsibilities
The successful candidate will be responsible for:
- Participating in the establishment and maintenance of Support Baselines for all current systems in the SA Navy.
- Identifying existing support infrastructure within the SA Navy.
- Contributing to research, development, and project management initiatives.
- Ensuring all work complies with relevant legal and statutory requirements.
