Who Should Apply? Essential Requirements

To be considered for this position, you must meet the following criteria:

  • A National Diploma in Engineering or a relevant qualification.
  • A minimum of 3 years of post-qualification technical experience.
  • A valid driver’s license.
  • Compulsory Registration: Current registration with ECSA as a Professional Engineering Technician.
  • Proficiency in spoken and written English.

Desired Skills and Knowledge:

Ideal candidates will possess a strong skillset, including:

  • Electronic technician experience (a distinct advantage)
  • Technical report writing and the ability to interpret technical drawings.
  • Experience in maintaining, repairing, and testing electronic systems and equipment.
  • Knowledge of electronic maintenance/repair procedures and test equipment calibration.
  • Computer-aided technical applications, project management, and problem-solving skills.
  • Knowledge of the Occupational Safety Act and safe operating procedures.

Your Key Responsibilities

As a successful candidate, your duties will include:

  • Executing maintenance and repair tasks within specified timeframes according to allocated job cards.
  • Interpreting Technical Drawings and Work Dossiers to perform tasks to laid-down standards.
  • Maintaining accurate records of electronic equipment failures, spare parts orders, and service history.
  • Ensuring all work complies with the Occupational Safety Act and safe operating procedures.
