Key Requirements
To be considered for this position, candidates must meet the following criteria:
- An appropriate Trade Test Certificate.
- A minimum of 5 years of post-qualification experience as an Artisan.
- A valid driver’s license.
- Specialist experience in the Electrical field.
Essential Skills and Knowledge:
- Proficiency in using advanced, complex tools and machinery.
- Strong ability to interpret technical drawings and work dossiers.
- Excellent planning, coordination, and resource management skills.
- Proven problem-solving, decision-making, and technical report writing abilities.
- Effective communication skills in English (both written and verbal).
- Knowledge of legal compliance, financial management, and change management.
- Experience in mentoring, coaching, and supervising subordinates.
- Competency in computer-aided technical applications.
Key Responsibilities
The successful candidate will be entrusted with the following duties:
- Perform complex electrical maintenance and repair tasks on naval equipment and infrastructure.
- Interpret technical drawings and work dossiers to execute jobs to precise specifications.
- Manage and order miscellaneous stores and parts required for maintenance work.
- Provide expert technical advice and support to the team and management.
- Supervise, train, and mentor subordinates and trainees.
- Maintain a safe working environment by adhering to all health and safety regulations.
