Key Responsibilities and Learning Outcomes
As a learner, you will be actively involved in the daily operations of the plant. Your key duties will include:
- Assisting Plant Operators with their daily tasks and learning best practices.
- Performing duties as instructed by the Production Team Leader.
- Learning to operate plant equipment under supervision, progressing to independent operation once competent.
- Participating in formal training to achieve NQF 2 plant operation unit standards.
- Handling various packaging materials like bags, drums, and bulk containers.
- Maintaining excellent general housekeeping standards in all plant areas.
- Accurately completing production and process documentation.
- Learning to work safely in confined spaces and at heights.
- Undergoing forklift training as required by the role.
- Being available for shift work and overtime, which is common in industrial operations.
Minimum Requirements
To be considered for this exciting opportunity, you must meet the following criteria:
- Grade 12 with Mathematics and Physical Science (This is essential).
- Basic computer literacy (MS Office, data entry).
- Be between the ages of 18 and 25 years old.
