The South African Navy is seeking a highly skilled and motivated Artisan Foreman to join the Facilities Division at the Naval Base in Simon’s Town. - Salary: R480 261 – R547 635 per annum

Key Requirements:
To be considered for this role, you must meet the following criteria:
- An appropriate Trade Test Certificate.
- A minimum of 10 years of post-qualification experience as an Artisan or Artisan Foreman.
- A valid driver’s license.
- At least 3 years’ experience in a supervisory capacity.
- Experience in a Metalwork or Plumbing Workshop environment is a distinct advantage.
- Excellent communication skills in English (both written and verbal).
- Strong skills in technical report writing, project management, and compiling documentation.
- Ability to work under pressure, meet deadlines, and solve problems effectively.
- Proficiency in reading and interpreting technical drawings.
- In-depth knowledge of safety standards, legal compliance, and the Public Service Act.
- Advanced analytical thinking, interpersonal, decision-making, and time management skills.
Key Responsibilities:
The successful candidate will be responsible for:
- Managing a variety of tasks related to the Metalwork/Plumbing Workshop’s workload and staff.
- Procuring equipment and materials necessary for workshop operations.
- Supervising, training, and assessing subordinates.
- Administering and managing all related documentation.
