Available Opportunities & Minimum Qualifications

The programme has 17 posts available across various high-demand disciplines. Find your field below:

1. Land Surveying – 3 Posts

  • Qualification: ND / BTech / BSc in Land Surveying or Geomatics

2. Geographic Information System (GIS) – 2 Posts

  • Qualification: BSc in Geomatics / Geo-Informatics or BSc (Hons) Geo-Informatics
  • Note: Academic records must be attached to your application.

3. Town and Regional Planning – 3 Posts

  • Qualification: BSc or Honours in Town & Regional Planning / Urban and Regional Planning

4. Civil Engineering – 3 Posts

  • Qualification: ND / BEng / BSc / BTech in Civil Engineering

5. Environmental Science Practitioner – 2 Posts

  • Qualification: B Degree in Environmental Management / Environmental Science

6. Natural Sciences – 4 Posts

  • Qualification: BTech / BSc / BSc (Hons) in Natural Sciences with specialisation in:
    • Chemistry
    • Microbiology Science
    • Environmental Science
    • Geo-Hydrology

Mentor Position Available

Mentor: Environmental Science

  • Remuneration: R1600.00/hour for 12 hours per graduate per month
  • Requirements: B Degree in Environmental Science / Environmental Management, Registration with SACNASP, Minimum of 5 years’ work experience, Proven mentoring ability, and computer literacy.

Eligibility Criteria

Before you apply, ensure you meet the following requirements:

  • Must be a South African citizen with a valid SA ID.
  • Must be unemployed and under the age of 35.
  • A Code 08 driver’s license will be a distinct advantage.
  • Your qualification must be relevant for professional registration with a statutory council.
  • You must not have participated in a similar programme before.
  • Preference will be given in line with the Municipality’s Employment Equity plan.
