About the Programme
This comprehensive 18-month learnership is designed to develop talented learners into skilled Procurement Officers. The programme provides a balanced mix of theoretical knowledge, practical skills, and essential workplace-based experience in the dynamic field of procurement and supply chain management. Upon successful completion, you will be equipped with a recognized qualification and the confidence to excel in the industry.
Minimum Requirements
To be eligible for this learnership, applicants must meet the following criteria:
- Be unemployed and not currently enrolled in any other learnership or academic programme.
- Not hold any post-matric qualification.
- Hold a Grade 12 (Matric) certificate with Mathematics Literacy and English at a Level 4 or higher.
- Be able to submit a SAQA/NLRD verification report for their qualifications (can be downloaded from the SAQA website).
- Be a South African citizen with a valid South African ID document.
- Be between the ages of 18 and 35.
Additional Requirements for People with Disabilities:
- Must submit proof of disability (a Doctor’s Certificate or an ITRDD13 form).
- Deaf or hard-of-hearing candidates are requested to arrange their own interpreter for the process.

What You Will Do: Duties & Responsibilities
As a Procurement Officer Learner, you will be immersed in the core functions of the department. Your responsibilities will include:
- Assisting in the implementation of operational procurement schedules.
- Helping to manage supply contracts and supplier relationships.
- Monitoring procurement performance and ensuring compliance with policies.
- Attending and actively participating in classroom learning sessions.
- Completing all required assignments, logbooks, and assessments.
