Who Should Apply? Essential Requirements

This is a senior position requiring a significant level of experience and professional accreditation. Ideal candidates will meet the following criteria:

  • A recognized Engineering Degree (B Eng / BSC Eng) or relevant qualification.
  • A minimum of 6 years of post-qualification experience as a Registered Professional Engineer.
  • A valid driver’s license.
  • Proven post-graduate experience in a marine design environment will be a distinct advantage.

Critical Skills & Knowledge:

The role demands a diverse skill set beyond technical knowledge, including:

  • Soft Skills: Exceptional verbal and written communication, presentation, negotiation, interpersonal, and problem-solving skills.
  • Technical Knowledge: In-depth knowledge of engineering prescripts, policy documents, EC Work Packages, Test and Trial procedures, Integrated Logistic Support Plans (ILS), System Engineering, and Quality Assurance.
  • Management Skills: Strong project management, financial management, conflict management, and resource management capabilities.
  • The proven ability to compile and present detailed technical reports in English.

Your Key Responsibilities (Duties)

As a Senior Weapons Systems Engineer, you will be at the forefront of naval engineering, with duties including:

  • Generating expert engineering instructions, advice, concept designs, and system designs.
  • Providing essential Weapons Systems Engineering acceptance services.
  • Developing and ensuring adherence to engineering design standards and equipment standardization.
  • Leading and providing project/task management services.
  • Managing the entire Weapons Systems Engineering Sub-Section.
