Position Requirements
To be considered for this role, candidates must meet the following criteria:
- An appropriate Trade Test Certificate.
- A minimum of 10 years of post-qualification experience as an Artisan or Artisan Foreman.
- A valid driver’s license.
- Previous painting experience is a distinct advantage.
- Excellent verbal and written communication skills in English.
- Technical report writing ability.
- Must be physically fit to perform painting duties.
Key Skills and Knowledge:
- Basic knowledge of Health and Safety protocols.
- Knowledge of specific painting processes, aids, and equipment.
- Ability to operate spray gun machines.
- Planning, organising, and project management skills.
- Knowledge of Legal Compliance, Finance Management, and Change Management.
- Problem-solving, mentoring, and coaching abilities.
- Computer literacy and production process knowledge.
Key Responsibilities
The successful candidate will be responsible for a range of duties, including:
- Executing all duties in compliance with the official Code of Conduct and Quality Assurance Manual.
- Allocating tasks to staff and ensuring they have the necessary resources.
- Ensuring work is completed by target dates and managing any forecasted over-runs.
- Managing the effective distribution and execution of all Job Cards.
- Overseeing the Paint Shop Service to maintain stores inventory.
- Managing the section’s administration and providing a supervised workshop facility.
- Assisting with the training of newly appointed staff.
- Being a proactive team player.
