Key Requirements:
To be considered for this prestigious position, candidates must meet the following criteria:
- An appropriate Trade Test Certificate.
- A minimum of 10 years of post-qualification experience as an Artisan or Artisan Foreman.
- A valid driver’s license.
- Must be qualified as a mechanical technician to conduct technical and mechanical repairs in compliance with the PFMA.
- Trade tested as a mechanical vehicle fitter in vehicle testing and fitting.
- Proven diagnostic experience is essential.
Critical Skills and Knowledge:
- Specialised knowledge of vehicle maintenance processes and procedures.
- Ability to assess service provider quotations against market-related costs.
- Excellent communication skills (written and verbal) in English.
- Ability to liaise effectively with SAN Level 3 organizations, external fleet stakeholders, peers, and subordinates.
- Computer literacy, project management skills, and knowledge of computer-aided technical applications.
- Strong technical report writing, planning, organising, problem-solving, and technical consulting abilities.
Key Responsibilities (Duties):
The successful candidate will be entrusted with the following duties:
- Manage the execution of vehicle maintenance, services, and repairs.
- Oversee vehicle recovery operations.
- Manage the vehicle workshop and its personnel effectively.
- Ensure compliance with Occupational Health and Safety (OHS) requirements for tools and personnel.
- Handle all administrative responsibilities for the section.

Important Notes for Applicants:
