  • Salary: R480,261 – R547,635 per annum

Who Should Apply? Essential Requirements

To be considered for this senior role, candidates must meet the following non-negotiable requirements:

  • An appropriate and recognized Trade Test Certificate.
  • A minimum of 10 years of post-qualification experience as an Artisan or Artisan Foreman.
  • A valid driver’s license.
  • Preferred: Experience in an Electrical Weapons Systems environment.

The ideal candidate will possess a strong blend of technical and managerial skills, including:

  • Excellent communication skills in English.
  • Technical report writing and project management.
  • Proficiency in computer-aided technical applications.
  • Knowledge of legal compliance, financial management, and technical design.
  • Strong problem-solving, decision-making, and change management abilities.
  • Outstanding planning, organising, and production process skills.

Your Key Responsibilities

As an Artisan Foreman, your duties will be diverse and critical to the operation’s success:

  • Provide direct supervision of workshop personnel and manage their workload efficiently.
  • Oversee internal training programs to ensure team competency.
  • Handle essential administration tasks and control job-card administration via the OSIS computer system.
  • Assist in budget planning and monitor the spending of allocated funds.
  • Manage the control of stores and spares.
  • Act as the building manager and attend relevant operational meetings.

Important Notes for Applicants

  • Using the incorrect Z83 form will result in disqualification.
  • Only shortlisted candidates will need to submit certified copies of qualifications (not older than six months) before the interview.

  • All successful candidates will undergo rigorous Personnel Suitability Checks, including criminal record, citizenship, financial/asset checks, qualification verification, and security clearance.
