The South African Navy, Fleet Command Headquarters, is seeking two highly skilled and motivated Engineering Technicians to join their Naval Engineering Services division in the historic and strategic naval port of Simon’s Town. Key Requirements
To be considered for this role, candidates must meet the following essential criteria:
- A National Diploma in Engineering or a relevant qualification.
- A minimum of 3 years of post-qualification technical experience.
- A valid driver’s license.
- Compulsory registration with ECSA as a Professional Engineering Technician.
- Proven experience in a maintenance engineering field.
- Ability to compile and present technical reports in English.
- Proficiency in MS Office and knowledge of computer-aided engineering applications.
- Ability to read and understand technical drawings and documents.
Advantageous skills include knowledge of Class and IMO rules and regulations, project management, and strong interpersonal and problem-solving skills.
Your Key Duties
The successful candidates will be responsible for:
- Participating in Logistic Support Analysis and Logistic Plans development.
- Contributing to Logistic support design, specification, and verification processes.
- Assisting in the development of Logistic support baselines for SAN systems.
