Who Should Apply? Key Requirements

To be considered for this pivotal role, candidates must meet the following requirements:

  • An appropriate Trade Test Certificate.
  • A minimum of 5 years of post-qualification experience as an Artisan.
  • A valid driver’s license.
  • Preferred: Experience in Electrical Weapons Systems.

Essential Skills: The ideal candidate will possess excellent communication skills in English, technical analysis and report writing abilities, computer literacy, knowledge of legal compliance, and strong skills in planning, conflict management, teamwork, and customer focus.

Your Role and Responsibilities

This position is critical to the operational readiness of the Navy. Key duties include:

  • Maintaining and repairing SUT Torpedoes.
  • Preparing exercise and combat torpedoes for issue and storage.
  • Maintaining torpedo Counter Measure launchers.
  • Conducting purging and pressure checks on EXOCET missile tubes.
  • Performing functional tests on UMKHONTO Missiles and purging air systems.
  • Ensuring section security and full compliance with the OHS Act.
