Who Should Apply? The Requirements
This role is designed for a candidate who is ready to learn and grow within a structured naval engineering environment. The key requirements are:
- A National Diploma in Engineering or a relevant qualification.
- A valid driver’s license.
- Special Note: No previous experience is required, making this an ideal graduate position.
- Current/Compulsory registration with ECSA as a Candidate Engineering Technician (This is a statutory requirement).
The ideal candidate will have skills or a keen interest in project management, engineering design, computer-aided applications, and legal compliance, with strong planning and problem-solving abilities.
Your Role and Responsibilities
As a Candidate Engineering Technician, you will be instrumental in providing vital technical support. Your duties will include:
- Rendering technical services and support in engineering research, design, manufacturing, operations, and maintenance under supervision.
- Preparing and maintaining a Portfolio of Learning to manage your training process.
- Undertaking Research and Development activities.
- Performing administrative functions.
- Strictly adhering to OHS (Occupational Health and Safety) regulations.
This position offers unparalleled hands-on experience in a naval marine environment, working alongside experienced Engineers and Technologists.
