Polokwane Local Municipality, in partnership with the National Treasury, is offering a three-year fixed-term contract opportunity for two unemployed graduates in the field of Water Services. The successful candidates will work as Civil Engineers, specialising in Water or Hydraulic Engineering. Applicants must be under 35 years of age, be South African citizens within the municipality’s jurisdiction, and hold a minimum qualification of a BSc Honours in Civil Engineering, Microbiological Science, or Chemical Science. Applications must be hand-delivered by 31 March 2025.

Polokwane Local Municipality, jointly with the Department of National Treasury, hereby invites applications from suitably qualified unemployed graduates to participates in a three (03) years fixed term contract programme in various disciplines.

Requirements

  • Applicant must be unemployed
  • A valid driver’s license will be an added advantage.
  • Must be a South African citizen in possession of the valid South African Identity document and falling within the jurisdiction of Polokwane Local Municipality.
  • Must be under the age of 35.
  • Academic qualification must be in line with the professional registration requirements of the respective statutory councils.
  • Stamped original proof of residence (Letter from Traditional Local Authority or Municipal utility bill).
